Mora Clocks Mechanisms
1800s antiq ue Mora clocks usually used either swedish or german mechanisms with either a single or double bell
They would strike on the hour with the correct number of chimes and a single chime on the half hour.
Mora clocks are distinguished by the wondeful crystal chime of their bells.
Some mechanisms ( as above left) were equipped with a wire loop that acts as a gong rather than using a standard bell
